United Church of Beloit exists to glorify God by making disciples in our neighborhood, our communities, and the world.
The United Church of Beloit seeks to do Christ’s work in the Beloit community and the wider world by supporting a variety of missions and charitable causes with gifts of time, talents, and treasure. Missions and outreach efforts are coordinated through the Deacons Outreach Board, which meets monthly to review the needs of local charities, coordinate volunteer efforts, and distribute mission funds.
Funding for missions comes from the regular contributions of members and friends, special collections, and the Gus Nelson Endowment, which supports mission work in the local community. Members of the United Church of Beloit regularly volunteer for or serve on the boards of local charities, including Family Promise homeless shelter, Caritas food pantry and diaper bank, and Beloit Meals on Wheels.
“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
Matthew 25:40
